2011 Leadership Day

The North Middlesex Regional High School student council presented its annual Leadership Day on Tuesday, March 29th.  Students, who were nominated by their advisors, teachers, or coaches, spent the day participating in workshops relating to teamwork, enthusiasm, communication, success, how to handle failure, and conflict resolution.  Keynote speaker for the event, Mr. Ed Hayward, discussed topics such as setting short term goals, long term goals, and planning for the future.  Guest speaker Mr. Ray Kane spoke about the importance of teamwork and how reaching goals that were thought to be impossible, became attainable through teamwork.   The hard and insightful work of these students will definitely have a positive impact on the NM school culture.  Great job everyone!

MCAS: English Language Arts - CHECK!

The NMRHS Administration would like to thank all of our students and faculty for their cooperation with the administration of the MCAS ELA tests over the past two weeks.  Testing approximately 270 students over three scheduled testing days and three additional make-up days requires significant investment and assistance.  We could not have accomplished this task without a team effort!  The MCAS ELA subject tests are now checked off of our checklist and for this we thank you.

Despite the relief of putting the ELA tests behind us, we are not out of the woods yet.  The MCAS Mathematics subject tests are scheduled for May 17th and 18th.  And, the MCAS STE - Biology Test will take place June 1st and 2nd.  As we get closer to these dates, we will post the daily testing schedule and make-up testing arrangements on this site.

Thank you again North Middlesex and let's look forward to May!
